About 6% of myeloma proteins are cryoglobulins.82 Cryoglobulins, especially type II and III, have been associated with neuropathy. Mononeuropathy or mononeuropathy multiplex may occur as a consequence of vasculitis. Polyneuropathy, possibly due to ischemic demyelination, has also been reported.8384 In eight cases of myeloma with cryoglobulinemia, one patient was reported to have polyneuropathy, which improved transiently with plasmapheresis and chemotherapy.82
