Prognostic Factors In Allogeneic Transplantation

Identification of significant prognostic factors represents an important advance in transplantation in CML. In some situations, an understanding of these factors, such as the interval between diagnosis and transplantation, provides an opportunity to optimize results. In others it permits a more accurate assessment of outcome. Prognostic factors can also identify patients who would be at high risk for complications of transplantation, and for whom a transplant is not an appropriate therapy.
